# BCL and Bayarcash, what each one does

BCL (Bayarcash Commerce Layer) is where you sell. Bayarcash is the payment gateway that collects the money. You build and run your sales in BCL, and every payment on a BCL form goes through your Bayarcash account.

## What each one does

The two work together, but each has its own job:

BCL connects to your Bayarcash account with a token and a secret key, under **Platform Setup** → **Payment**, in the **Bayarcash Configuration** section. Until you connect it, you can try BCL in **Test Mode**, where no real payment is made. See [Connect your Bayarcash account](/connect-bayarcash/).

## How one sale flows

Here is what happens when a customer buys from your form:

1. Your customer fills in your BCL form and clicks to pay.
2. They move to the Bayarcash payment page, which shows your Bayarcash account's business details, and pay with their bank, card or e-wallet. See [Change the business details your customers see when they pay](/bayarcash-payment-page/).
3. Bayarcash tells BCL the result. BCL marks the order successful, sends the receipt and runs your notifications, affiliates and automations.
4. Bayarcash pays the money out to your bank account, minus its fee. BCL's [gateway fee](/gateway-fees/) settings only decide how much of that fee your customer pays.

## Common issues

### Are BCL and Bayarcash the same thing?

No. BCL is where you sell: forms, payment links, events, bookings, affiliates and automations. Bayarcash is the payment gateway behind it that collects your customers' payments and pays them out to your bank account. You need a Bayarcash account to take real payments in BCL.

### Who do I contact about my payout or my Bayarcash registration?

Bayarcash, at support@bayarcash.com. Registration, KYC, payouts, the Bayarcash Console and which payment channels your portal has are all handled by Bayarcash, not in BCL.

### Do I need two logins?

Yes. You sign in to BCL at bcl.my for your forms and orders, and to the Bayarcash Console at console.bayar.cash for your gateway account, payouts and API keys.
