# Teaching BCL with our guides, videos and screenshots

> Trainers can use every guide, video and screenshot on BCL Documentation for free in classes, courses and handouts, with a credit line.

Everything on BCL Documentation is free for trainers to use: the guides, the step-by-step videos and the screenshots. Use them in classes, workshops, online courses, slides and handouts, including paid ones. The only condition is a credit line.

## What you can use

The materials are licensed under [Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0)](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). You can copy, share, translate and adapt them, for any purpose, as long as you credit BCL Documentation.

| **Guides** | The text of every article, in English and Bahasa Melayu | Copy from the page, or use **Copy page** at the top of an article |
| **Videos** | Short "Watch the steps" videos in English (Bahasa Melayu versions are being added) | Open the video's menu (⋮) in the player and choose **Download** |
| **Screenshots** | Every picture in the guides, with the red box on what to click | Right-click the picture and choose **Save image as** |
| **Whole help centre as text** | Every guide in one plain-text file, useful for preparing notes | [docs.bcl.my/llms-full.txt](/llms-full.txt) |

The screenshots and videos show a sample business, "Kopi Kampung", with made-up customers and test payments. They contain no real merchant or customer data, so you can show them to any audience.

## How to credit

Put a short credit where your audience will see it: on the slide, under the video, or at the end of the handout. Use this line:

If you changed the material, for example cropped a screenshot, added your own voice-over or translated a guide, say so:

For a whole course, one credit on the first or last slide is enough.

## What the licence does not cover

The licence covers the guides, videos and screenshots. It does not cover these:

| Not covered | What it means for you |
| --- | --- |
| **The BCL and Bayarcash names and logos** | You can name BCL to describe what you teach. Do not use the logos in a way that suggests your course is run or approved by BCL. |
| **Official status** | Using the materials does not make you an official or certified BCL trainer. Do not describe yourself as one unless we have told you so. |
| **Other companies' logos** | Logos of Claude, ChatGPT, Google, Meta, TikTok and others shown in the guides belong to their owners. |

## Keep your material up to date

BCL changes often, so screens in your slides can go out of date. Two pages tell you what changed:

- **[Documentation updates](/docs-updates/):** new and updated guides, by date. Follow it in a feed reader with the [RSS feed](/docs-updates.xml).
- **[What's new in BCL](https://bcl.my/what-new):** new features and changes in the product itself.

When a guide you use shows a new **Updated** date at the top, download its screenshots and video again.

## Tips

These make BCL easier to teach:

- **Teach with Test Mode on.** Students can practise payments with the Bayarcash sandbox without moving real money. See [Connect your Bayarcash account](/connect-bayarcash/).
- **Play the video, then do it live.** Each video is under a minute. Show it first, then repeat the steps on your own account while students follow.
- **Use the Malay versions for Malay classes.** Every guide has a Bahasa Melayu version. Switch with the language link at the top of the guide.
- **Send students to the guide after class.** Each guide link works on a phone, so students can repeat the steps on their own.

## Common issues

### Can I use the videos in a paid course?

Yes. The licence (CC BY 4.0) allows commercial use, so you can use them in paid classes, online courses and printed handouts, as long as you credit BCL Documentation.

### Do I need to ask permission first?

No. The licence already gives you permission. Just add the credit line. You only need to contact us if you want to be listed or recognised as an official BCL trainer.

### Can I edit the screenshots or cut the videos?

Yes. You can crop, annotate, translate, subtitle or cut them. Say that you changed them in the credit, for example "Adapted from BCL Documentation".
