Get Telegram alerts for transactions (0:19)

The BCL Telegram bot sends you an alert for every transaction in your account, with the customer, form, order number, items and a link to the receipt. You can send the alerts to your own Telegram chat or to a group.

The quickest way is the Telegram card in BCL. You need Telegram on your phone or computer.

  1. Go to Platform Setup → Integrations. On the Telegram card, click Connect.

  2. In the panel, click Connect my Telegram for your own chat, or Add to a group to share the alerts with your team. Each link works once and expires after 15 minutes.

  3. Telegram opens the bot, @bclmy_bot. Press Start, or pick the group.

  4. The chat appears under Connected chats in the panel within a few seconds.

From now on, you get a message each time a payment succeeds or fails.

If the buttons do not open Telegram, link the chat with your Merchant ID:

  1. In the Telegram panel, click Copy next to the /set line. It copies /set followed by your Merchant ID. The Merchant ID is also on Team → Team Profile, on the Merchant Information tab.

  3. Paste and send the command: /set followed by a space and your Merchant ID, for example /set 1a2b3c4d-....

  4. The bot replies that your chat is now linked to your team.

The bot understands a few commands, which you send in the same chat:

  • /view shows which business the chat is linked to and whether alerts are on.
  • /toggle turns alerts off or back on. Confirm with the button in the reply.
  • /delete unlinks the chat from your account. Confirm with Delete in the reply.
  • /help lists all commands.

Common issues

Where do I find the ID the Telegram bot asks for?

Go to Platform Setup → Integrations and click Connect on the Telegram card. The panel shows the /set command with your Merchant ID: click Copy and send it to the bot. The ID is also on Team → Team Profile, on the Merchant Information tab.

The bot says this chat is already linked to a different team. What now?

Each Telegram chat can follow one BCL account. Send /delete to unlink the old account, or use a different chat for this one.

How do I pause Telegram alerts without unlinking?

Send /toggle to the bot and confirm. Send it again to turn alerts back on.
