Send official WhatsApp templates with Wabot Pro
Wabot Pro is Wabot’s service for official WhatsApp Business numbers (WABA). Connect it to BCL, then add a Wabot Pro step to an automation. The step can send one of your approved WhatsApp templates, or add a number to a Wabot broadcast list or take it out.
Connect Wabot Pro
Section titled “Connect Wabot Pro”You need a Wabot account with an official (WABA) number. Then:

In Wabot, open REST API and copy Your Access Token.

In BCL, go to Platform Setup → Integrations. Click WhatsApp to show the WhatsApp cards, then click Connect on the Wabot Pro card.

Turn on Enable Wabot Pro integration.

Paste the token in Access Token and click Verify Connection.

Click Save Wabot Pro.

Add a Wabot Pro step to an automation
Section titled “Add a Wabot Pro step to an automation”The quickest start is the WhatsApp Receipt via Wabot Pro template under Automations → Templates (see Start an automation from a template). To add the step yourself:

In your automation, click Add Node and pick Wabot Pro under WhatsApp.

Double-click the new step to open Wabot Pro Action Settings, and type an Action Name.

In Action Type, pick what the step does:
Action Type What it does Send WhatsApp template Sends an approved template from your official number, filled with the order details. Add to broadcast list Adds the number to a Wabot broadcast list. Remove from broadcast list Takes the number out of a Wabot broadcast list. -
For a template, keep the phone variable in Receiver Phone, pick the WhatsApp Number, then pick the Template. Fill each template variable with a BCL variable, such as
{name}. -
For a broadcast list, keep the phone variable in Contact Phone, set Contact Name and pick the Broadcast List.

To check a template, type your number in Phone Number and click Send. BCL sends it now, with sample data in the variables.

Click Save Wabot Pro, then Update Automation, and switch the automation on.
Common issues
What is the difference between Wabot and Wabot Pro in BCL?
Wabot Pro is for official WhatsApp Business (WABA) numbers and sends approved templates. A WhatsApp Web number uses the Send Wabot step instead, which sends a free-text message (see Send a WhatsApp after payment).
Where do I find my Wabot access token?
In Wabot, open REST API and copy Your Access Token. Paste it in Access Token on the Wabot Pro card under Platform Setup → Integrations, then click Verify Connection.
Which broadcast lists can the step use?
The lists in your Wabot account under Audience Hub → Broadcast Lists. Click the reload icon in the step to load new lists.
