Fix a form that shows twice after a Canva embed

Updated

If your form shows up twice, or behaves like a link, after you paste a Canva embed code into BCL, the code has an extra line you do not need. Canva adds a link back to the design after the embed. When that link is left open, it wraps everything below it, including your BCL form. Remove the link and the form displays normally.

The embed code Canva gives you has two parts: a <div> with an <iframe> inside it, and then an <a href="https://www.canva.com/..."> link. Keep the first part and delete the link.

  1. Go to Payments → Forms, click Edit on the form, then click Open HTML Editor.

  2. Find the line that starts with <a href= and points to canva.com. It sits right after the closing </div>.

  3. Delete that line, including any text and the closing </a> that follow it.

  4. Click Save HTML.

  5. Click Back to return to the form, then click View Form to check the form now appears once.

The HTML editor can find the leftover link for you. Click the green shield button at the bottom right of the editor (Check HTML for errors). An open Canva link shows as Unclosed element ‘’. Click the line to jump to it, delete it and click Save HTML.

Also check that you pasted the embed code only once. Your HTML should end with </iframe> and </div> for the Canva part.
